2003 World Scrabble Championship in Kuala Lumpur

The 2003 World Scrabble Championship is scheduled to take place Oct. 19 to 24, 2003, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to the National Scrabble Association, the United States will be represented in the competition by Dave Wiegand, Jim Kramer, Sam Kantimathi, Tim Adamson, Rich Baker, Randy Hersom, Robert Linn, Iffy Onyeonwu, Jim Geary, Walker Willingham, John O'Laughlin, Bob Lipton, Ben Withers, Steve Polatnick and Amit Chakrabarti.

In all, 102 players from 45 countries will compete, including some hometown favorites.
