Jacob Marley Esquire - Game Preview

Wednesday August 20, 2003
There are few Christmas-themed board games available, so I always look forward to new ones... but I can't decide if this counts or not: Jacob Marley, Esquire is scheduled for publication by Cheapass Games in time for Christmas 2003.

Long before Jacob Marley warned his partner Ebenezer Scrooge that he would be visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, he was a struggling London lender trying to reach prosperity.

In Jacob Marley, Esquire, players are underpaid clerks in his firm, trying to spread as much misery as possible. The winner, according to the Cheapass web site, is the clerk who becomes Marley's lifelong friend.
