Whad'Ya Know? - Board Game Preview

Wednesday July 23, 2003
John Kovalic, the artist responsible for Dork Tower, designed a new board game based on the popular public radio show "Michael Feldman's Whad'Ya Know?" The game, published by Out of the Box Publishing and due out soon, is for 4 to 10 players.

According to an article in The Capital Times of Madison, Wisconsin, roles rotate during the game, but on any given turn one player is the host, others are contestants, and the rest are the audience.

They all ponder questions similar to those asked on the radio show quizzes. Knowing the answer to a question earns you points; so does agreeing on an answer with another contestant. Audience members who correctly guess whether a contestant is right earn points, as do audience members who persuade a contestant to change their answer.

Whad'Ya Know? is Kovalic's first board game design. In addition to working on Dork Tower, he's the artistic director for Out of the Box Publishing.
