Pictionary Leads to Hostage-Taking Rage
Wednesday July 9, 2003
This isn't a good week for the peaceful reputation of board games. First, a Parcheesi game between two inmates turned deadly. Now, a report from Vancouver-area investigators has determined that a game of Pictionary set off a violent attack by a Canadian inmate. The incident, which took place in January 2002, included the inmate strapping his belt around the neck of a female therapist. Apparently, he became upset when other prisoners laughed at his drawing of toilet paper.
