Balancing Aliens, Columns, More from Out of the Box

Out of the Box Publishing has announced two new upcoming games, both due out in the third quarter (July through September) of 2003: Balancing Aliens and Columns. The company also has announced the premier of its Game Collection Series.

Balancing Aliens is a dexterity game for 2 to 4 players; the goal is to balance bowling pin-shaped aliens on a wobbly space disc. The suggested retail price is $24.99.

Columns is a 2-player stacking game; each player begins with an identical set of wood blocks and competes to score the most points by having their round pieces on top of as many stacks as possible. The suggested retail price is not listed at Out of the Box's web site.

The Games Collection - Premier Series is a nicely crafted, wooden stack of four games, each for 2 players. The games include Cambio (a new five-in-a-row game), Quadtria (players try to form a triangle pattern), Trinidad (be the first to occupy the center island), and Creeper (form a chain of your pieces across the board). The suggested retail price is $49.99.
